Afternoon all,

Now have I my 24 up and running, but can't get the DECT to work.

I have plugged a GDC-400 into the WTIB board, but there is no sign of life in the 400 (don't they have any LED's?) and even though I've read the manuals I can't see how to get the system to talk to the 400 or even see if it works.

Cheers, Jez.

The s/w version 3.0 can only handle WTIB, which is a "not so good" solution.

WTIBE is better, but it requires s/w 3.7.

WTIB has the possibility to install 3 x GDC-100B basestations with max. 6 channels and 12 dect handsets.

WTIBE has the possibility to install 4 x GDC-400B basestations with max. 16 channels and 20 dect handsets.

More info concerning WTIBE for ipLDK-24.

Check PGM 101 and 103. It should indicate WTIBE in slot 4.

PGM 101 - should indicate WTIBE in connection with STA (= station)
PGM 103 - should indicate WTIBE in connection with STA (= station) logical slot 4.

The Switch SW3 on the WTIBE should be OFF-ON-ON-OFF. Just leave them there.

WTIBE has the possibility to install 4 x GDC-400B basestations with max. 16 channels and 20 dect handsets.

Learned a bit today - about the ipLDK-24 (must have forgotten it).

If you wnat to use the WTIBE in ipLDK-24 the s/w must at least be 3.7 Bd (C.7Bd).

The s/w is the one that corrects the WTIB/WTIBE fault in PGM 101/103.

You should switch off the ipLDK-24, and remove the WTIBE board, then switch the ipLDK-24 on again, go to PGM 101/103 and remove all data about WTIBE. Then restart the ipLDK (without the WTIBE). Logon and see what data is regarding the WTIBE in PGM101/103.
Then insert the WTIBE and set the correct data in PGM 101/103.
If possible : It should be WTIBE with 20 stations, and search order 4.

From our original fault report on this issue: (corrected in s/w 3.7Bd for ipLDK-24)

Problem
In PGM 101/103 you cannot see if the DECT board is WTIB or WTIBE.
This information is valuable for our remote engineers, so we hope
that you can make this information available.
Now
It’s fixed. WTIB and WTIBE differentiation is now available in PGM101 and PGM103.

---
With other words - do not use WTIBE in lower s/w releases than 3.7 Bd.

I just want to thank doktor for working with me and resoling the problem.

I just wanted to add an extra note on wiring as I found this tripped me up.

Basestation close to the LKD24, connected RJ11 from LDK24 to RJ11 on the base station. Normal telephone cable pins connected straight through (pin 2 to pin2, pin3 to pin 3, pin4 to pin4, pin 5 to pin5).

Additional basestation connected to the LDK24 via structured cat 6 network. RJ45 from the faceplate to a RJ11 to connect into the basestation. Cable needs to be configured as follows:

Pin2 on the RJ11 to Pin3 on the RJ45

Pin3 on the RJ11 to Pin4 on the RJ45

Pin4 on the RJ11 to Pin5 on the RJ45

Pin5 on the RJ11 to Pin6 on the RJ45

All the best, Jez.
