I need to setup 2 new Windows 2000 domain controllers.
These 2 new domain controllers will be virtualized. Also, these 2 servers will be replacing our 2 existing windows 2000 domain controllers running AD.
Does anyone have steps on who to do this and any things to look for?
I would also need the steps on how and what to do to decommission the old domain controllers.

thanks in advance.

You can review multiple threads in this forum that have discussed exactly that within the past two weeks. Google is also a good source.

If you have specific questions after you've done your homework, we'll be glad to answer those.

Something along these lines.
The only problems I can see is if you going to be using the same names and IP address.
You will need to dcpromo 1 out and change it ip address name and ip if it's going to be a member server, that does not hold FSMO roles.
I would the leave it 24 hours.[check AD and DNS for IP addresses server name]
Then connect the new one [if you have issues you may need to do metadata cleanup] , make sure everything is working. Transfer FSMO roles, dcpromo out old one. repeat

The 2 new domain controllers will have new names and new ip adresses.

So just bring them in, transfer roles, dcpromo out, only when all is well. Obviously you need to move DHCP etc, as Davetoo says read the forum it's been answered.
