Hi there,

I have a spreadsheet in excel and would like to keep the results of my calculations to 2 decimal places rather than 3 or more then when I concatenate the result, it's only 2 decimal places. Thanks in advance,

Kastaman

Dear Kastaman,
You can do it by the follwing:
1. Go to the cell where your result will be.
2. Choose Format/Cells/Number/Number
3. Select 2 in the decimal places.

Is it this you want?

sangeeth,

The results I need should be in 2 decimal place only and remove the 3rd or more decimal places in the result. It might appear in 2 decimal places when I change the decimal format but when I copy the value, it maintains the 3 decimal format.

Thanks in advance,

Kastaman

Use the formula
round(cell,"# of Digits")

Otherwise format cells
tools
options
Calculation tab
Precesion as displayd

note this is a permanent solution, no roll back

weetnie,

The last option is what I needed. I guess I missed that option when I went in there trying to do the same thing.

The calculations are required to be precise up to 2 decimal places and very small # involved.

Appreciate your help. Thanks in advance,

Kastaman
