Our head office sent over norton mail filtering for exchange and also antivirus for smtp gateway.

i;m not sure which to install.
Currently we have a spam filter. MailFrontier but some emails with (virus)attatchments are still getting through in email. Everyone is protected because we run Norton 8.1 CE and all the desktops have been updated. However i would like to remove the virus before it even gets to my users mailboxes. which would be the better product. our exchange server runs norton antivirus 8.1 client.

thanks
Shari

Install the Mail Security for Exchange on your Exchange server. It will scan the mail prior to it hitting the maiboxes.

the version we have is the mail filter 3.0
i'm going to have to read the instructions on how to configure it properly

4.0 makes it a little easier to configure.
