Dec MS patches kill network backup 1

Hi guys

Have recently installed the December Microsoft patches, and have watched my network backup throughput drop to 50mb/min.

Has anyone else seen this?

Yes I am having this problem.

We found that our NICs speed and duplex settings were set to Auto/Auto, and a large number of collisions on the network.

Setting them to 100/Full resolved the issue.

No idea

Must have been one of the three issued in December 04 for 2000 server. Didn't narrow it down further than that.
