Hi!
I have a dialog-based program wich communicates through WriteFile, DCB, ReadFile... with the serial COM-Port. The debug-version works really fine, commands will be send and executed in the connected devices, but the release-version doesn't work. The commands will not be send at all, so WriteFile does not work there i think. But why? Another dialog-based program i have that works similar works in both versions.
Any ideas?
Thanks for every help! :)

This problem already happened with me.In MSDN Documentation
there is a special reference to it as in release build
all the "ASSERT" statements will be skipped automatically. Also some memory locking bits are present in the DEBUG version, which will not comes in to picture in release version.

U will get more info by searching for the key word "release"
in MSDN
