Debt Collection Agent Flooding our System!

We have an east Indian debt collector flooding our PBX. Before you can even hang up, he is already dialing in. So much so, customers cant even get through. They have asked for someone that we have already stated has been terminated; becomes silent and calls back. He is extremely vulgar and has threatened multiple employees (receptionists directly). In complete violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Im sure more considering it has nothing to do with this company. FCC and FTC were no help.

We are in week two of four hours a day; imagine our poor receptionists.

Anyone ever experience this? How were you able to get rid of them?

Ill take any ideas at this point.

Do you have an 8300 programming manual? If you do your going to want to look under CID Call routing, you can route the call to a mailbox or something everytime based on the person CID. Basically the 8300 will look at the CID info and based on that it'll select what route to put it through.

We did this but it did not work. Blocked one of our cell phones. Called and went straight through to the receptionist.
 
Ok so the manual you are referencing is the feature programming manual, not the command manual but there is enough info there if you understand it. I would recommend calling a qualified tech for this as they should be able to set it up remotely at minimal cost and put a quick end to the problem. However if the caller is as persistent as you suggest, I suspect that as soon as you block one number they will switch to another.

The do not call register doesn't apply to an overseas company which is why many people use these companies, we have the same problem in Australia! A bit tongue in cheek would be the one enforcement agency you haven't tried, You have a foreign national making threats, sounds like they are terrorizing your staff! :)

Alternatively can't you get your carrier to block these calls?
