I would like to accept debit cards in Aloha. However the processor that I'm looking up (First Data and First Third) do not appear to be supported for debit cards in Aloha EDC 6.5 (Aloha RKS 6.5). What can I do to accept debit cards?

Use a provider that is supported, or you'll just have to use a standalone pinpad device that does not connect into the POS.

Thanks for the reply. We are using the bank provided Verifone terminal (Split Dial for Debit) and TSYS/ VISANET for credit authorization. The debit card use the ATH Network in the caribbean but I know that this network is also reachable via the NYCE network (due to a parnetship).

Im looking to split dial EDC using TSYS for credit card and a supported provider for Debit (My bank doesnt use TSYS for debit). Some retail store that use IBM and Microsoft POS use First Data and 53 to authorize debit cards.

You will not be able to do that with Aloha and your current provider.

I use BAMS through Visanet to do both credit and debit. My debit terminals key injection was done by Verifone with my BAMS key. The only thing I split is gift cards to another service.

There are a few providers that try to imitate Visanet and a couple of others and it always ends up being a screwed up mess unless you use someone that has been authorized to work with Aloha. Plus, not worth taking chances with credit and debit transactions.
