Hello everybody,

At first - I'm an idiot. One night half asleep I entered an IP-Adress via Manager in the routing section of the IP-Office.

1) I can't rember the IP-Adress I entered.
2) Now I can't connect via LAN!

I tried to arp an IP-Adress to the MAC - no response.
I tried to make a connction via a direct cable between PC and IPO - negative as well.

I installed Wireshark and there are Broadcast from the IPO but I can't connect.

Any hints? I would be pleased!
Thx!

If you have access to the manager you made the change with you may be able to pull the config in offline mode....

Connect a serial cable.
Use 38400 8 N 1

Type:
AT
at-debug
system

Now you it in hex.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

If you have no luck with that...I would go to your Manager folder, find the either the .cfg file for the system or the .BAK file that is timestamped the rough time/date you made the change (as this will be the config befor the change). Wipe the system with DTE then put that config back, will not take long :)

Thx for answering...

I connected via COM - but no luck with AT..

Think I am in the wrong "Mode".

IPO gives me a prompt...

Command HELP lists some commands but when I type AT -> Error.

Thx

You are in dubug mode with the DTE port, power cycle the system/reboot it then try again :)

Wow...realy fast...

Ähm yea...

Mon 6/6/2011 18:44:24, Hello>system
SystemRecord
Ipaddr = c0a80014 ffffff00 3 1
Ipaddr2 = 00000000 00000000 0 0

wich means 192.168.20 -> this was IP was configured but no ping response.
Nr2. means 0.0.0.0 -> i never typed in such adress?

Is it possible to connect in this state?

Thx

Wait wait...

The reboot fixed something...

I can connect via MANAGER...
IP-Route says...

Ip adress ip-mask gateway Zielrufnummer(german)
empty empty 192.168.0.10 LAN1
192.168.99.0 255.255.255.0 empty RemoteManager

I definitly entered 0.10... so to be save - can i delete both entries an be save to can reconnect. I think I remeber there where no (0) entries before i enter some stupid things!

Thx

The issue is you have told the system to route traffic to an unknown address, if while connected directly to it you can't talk to the 192.168.20 address (you need to be in the same range) you may need to wipe and reinstate it. The 0.0.0.0 means that you have not set it to use the 8th port as LAN2 :)

I typed that while you posted, just delete the 0.0.0.0 one, the other is for remote access, you can delete that as well if you don't do that :)

Guys you are great!
Connected the IPO back to the switch and reached it with the Manager. Ping and everything works fine.

Thank you!

So now back to the problem why I started to playing around...

The time on the IPO is wrong - it should get it from the PC with the Manager on it but this doesnt work.
Think I should make another Post for this right?

Thx thx thx!

Manager needs to be running, and be in the same LAN now you have took the routes out. Also you need to set the address of the pc running manager into the system as time server, make sure any firewall is off, you can force a time synch by then rebooting the system :)
