Dear Experts,
Please an new to SIP/PABX system, but recently i wan to deploy the solution in my office.

at my HQ, i have an already functional IP-pbx system(SIP server), with about 40 IP-phones working fine.

however at one of my small branch office, we are using 24 port analog pabx (Panasonic-pbx-kx-tes824)
the geol is to get the two locations to be able to communicate

after long research i found the device DAG1000-4S4O Hybrid Analog VoIP Gateway that has 4 FXS and 4 FXO ports which can help integrates analog pabx to VOIP.

i can configure this DAG1000-4S4O Analog VoIP Gateway to SIP server(IP-PBX), i should work. however my problem is how to configure the Panasonic-pbx-kxKX-TES824 to be able to route all calls ext 200-224, through CO line 1-4, to ext 100-999, on the IP-Pbx system side.
any help around this, am open to any other alternatives.

Please see the attached Drawing for clear understanding

I have done such setups several times and will guide your through.

However my recommendation would depend on the reliability of your Point-To-Point connection/link between the two points.
The Panasonic KX-TES824 has a maximum capacity of 24 extensions, therefore you would deploy DAG2000-24S in the place of the KX-TES824 (Digital phones previously on the KX-TES824 can be replaced with SIP IP Sets). The DAG2000-24S will support 24 analog phones. This would be my priority on condition that the link between the two points is VERY stable. NB: The DAG2000-24S has a provision for secondary server. You could deploy Asterisk as a back-up server on the side that has the KX-TES824 so that in the event that the link went down, internal communication at that branch would still be possible.

Option 2 is what i think you are trying to implement
Using DAG1000-4S-4O as a gateway to adapt KX-TES824 to VoIP Network. In this case you have the 4FXS ports connected to the 4 CO Line ports on the KX-TES824 and four analog extensions from the KX-TES824 plugged into the 4FXO ports of the DAG1000-4S-4O. I am certain you have experienced no difficulty in setting up routing rules in the UCM6204. Note that the 4FXO ports on the DAG1000-4S-4O provide trunks (SIP) to the UCM6204 and the 4FXS ports (extensions of UCM6204) offer analog trunks (POTs) to KX-TES824.

How to setup the TES824 to route that calls has to be done through ARS
Put the CO Lines in a group, eg group1
Under Prgm 6-1, turn on ARS Mode for the said CO Lines
Under selection code, put 1XX and select ARS Line group 1
Under program 3-2, permit all users to be able to use the said CO Lines (Activated by default)

let me know if that helps

dont use dinstar brand totally is shit !! you can use grandstream or cisco or sangoma fxs/o for this project.

I personalty use Dinstar(ONLY FXS gateway NOT FXO), Yeastar and Cisco.
I dont like Dinstar FXO Gateways.
I prefer yeastar as it's cheaper and easy to setup.

inlsp05, does Grandstream have provision for secondary/back-up server?

really i dont know about backup server for fxo/s gateway?? but its more stable and more better than dinstar

inlsp05, please model of grandstram gate would you use. Please provide solution as if you are to handle this project. @wamnet, to fully deploy my solution do need both Fxo and fxs port

you most use grandstream 4104or4108(8line) and sip trunk with A point sip server then put 4 or 8 line analog from 824 to fxo gateway and use so set in sip server inbound dialing with DID and in 824 all sip guy can just dialling internal..

@inlsp05, please can share a detail step by step guide to achieve your solution. Specially on what port goes into between the gateway and the Panasonic. And how to program the Panasonic to be able to call the ip pbx extension.
Thanks a lot for the feedbacks @wannet and inlsp05, really appreciate

If you want to use grandstream,it's Grandstream GXW4104 4-FXO Port VoIP Gateway and Grandstream GXW4004 4-FXS Port VoIP Gateway. The GXW4004 will sit near the KX-TES824 & register to the UCM6204 and offer 4 analog extensions. You will plug the 4 analog extensions from GXW4004 into the CO Line ports of the Panasonic KX-TES824. Also you will plug 4 analog extensions from KX-TES824 into the FXO ports of GXW4104. The GXW4104 will act as a PSTN gateway to your UCM6206. That is the physical setup. The rest is programming.

The first time i used grandstream, it gave me lots of headache.
I would rather use Yeastar TA410 4FXO Ports gateway and Yeastar TA400 4FXS.
Its easier to setup.

Whichever you choose to use, the principle and physical setup is the same.

In the KX-TES824 you just need to setup ARS and could also use speed dialing to call extensions on the UCM6204

Configuration for yeastar 4FXO is below - This guide explains how to connect Grandstream UCM to Yeastar TA FXO gateway

Dear inlsp05 & Wanet Telecom Ltd,

this device is not available (Yeastar TA400 4FXS and Yeastar TA410 4FXO Ports gateway) in my region, for now

however the following

Grandstream GXW4104 analog FXO gateway is available

Grandstream GXW4004 analog FXS gateway not available

Grandstream HT814 FXS 4-port VoIP gateway is available

Dinstar DAG1000-4FXS-4FXO gateway is available

Device option1
my question is can Grandstream HT814 FXS 4-port and Grandstream GXW4104 analog FXO work together to achieve my aims.

Device option2
DAG1000-4FXS-4FXO as a gateway, and this device is available

Device option3

Grandstream UCM6202 IP PBX it has 2 FXO Ports and 2 FXS Ports, and install it as a peer to peer sip server and then use the 2 FXO Ports and 2 FXS to integrate the TES824 analog pbx

your feedback are greatly appreciated

Device option1
my question is can Grandstream HT814 FXS 4-port and Grandstream GXW4104 analog FXO work together to achieve my aims.

See attachment

You will put the GXW4104 on the site which has KX-TES824 and connect analog extensions into the FXO ports of GXW4104
Also you will take HT814 to the site which has UCM6204 and connect the FXS ports of HT814 to th FXO ports of UCM6204.

Before the connection, first do your setup and ensure you have voice communication between the two devices (GXW4104 and HT814) before connecting to your PBXs
