Dead silence when handset is lifted to answer telephone 8.0

Three of my customers experience this random silence daily. Two use COMCAST DT one uses VERIZON POTS. Seems to happen on live and transferred calls. Seems like bug or digital pots issue. Happening in 9.0.3 BASIC also. Any thoughts or others experiencing this problem?
 
how long is the silence?

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.
 
Silence stays and no conversation can be made. They must hang up and wait for call back.
 
9.0.3 is a poor release (there is an update available from Avaya)
Muppet mode is a waste of space.

Are the lines Sip, Analog or ISDN?

have you checked system monitor & tried connecting a test but to prove if system or line provider?

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
Two users have COMCAST, one has POTS. Happens with 8.0 also.As I mentioned in the POST.
 
COMCAST digital lines coming out of an MTA. Any thoughts on this issue.
 
Verizon needs to turn off MWI or VMWI, ask them to turn off both just to see if it fixes the issue.

Post monitor traces if the steps listed in the linked thread don't resolve it.


 
I did have that problem on a system and turned off COMCAST VM then the stutter tone cleared. Phantom ring disappeared. The silence trouble is the a new one now.
