Dead HD's

I have 2 IBM Deskstar 41.0GB.
I just discovered that not even BIOS will aknowlege this.
Even if they have booted OK for a day or so...
One is set as master an one is set as slave (16 heads).

The slave is in the end of the cable.

The HD's have jumper options that says - "15 heads", "16 heads", "32 GB clip" and "autospin disable".

The disobediant slave claimed that the rest of the computer democratically elected him master trough the ceble select process. Even if the system of ruling was set to jumper setting.

To avoid revolution i also submitted the slave to the slave contact of the IDE cable and peace was restored.
