I have a customer with an MICS and a CP100 3.0. About a year ago the CP power supply failed and I replaced it (with an 8 volt supply). The CP100 has just failed again. When I first got to it the left side lights were rapidly blinking and no right side lights. I unplugged the power supply and plugged it in again. Now I do not get any lights. I tried 3 power supplies and none will make the unit work. I checked the output of the power supplies before plugging them in and got 8 volts but when I plug them in the voltage drops to about 3.5 volts. I reseated the software card but no success. It looks to me like I have bad CP100 hardware and have ordered another one. The old unit had keycodes (not documented in writing) to bring the unit up to 24 mailboxes. The question is: can the old software be moved to the new hardware without problems? I think not because keycodes are generated using the serial number of the hardware but I found out long ago that I do not know everything whereas you might.
