ddeexecute Options for Excel 97

Was wondering if anyone had the ddeexecute Options for Excel 97. The Help Files give a Few; but also state to See the Resource Kit for the Application. Was wondering if anyone had a Current List for Excel 97. If not, I'll go Hunting for the Resource Kit...

Have collected about 9 so far. Got the Resource Kit, and that was a waste of money.
Let's see: MS Excel tells you to See the Resource Kit. The Resource Kit contains nothing. Visit MSN and no Info available. Thank You Bill Gates.

I'll keep scratching around, getting a Few More and Make them available for Tek-Tips.

Good Progress with DDE. Can do all the Things I want to do, and More. Mostly from Creating a Test File and Playing Around. Help was a Start but Books and

almost a Waste of Time.. Best way to Figure it out is to keep Working at it..

So Far: For Spreadsheets....

Select Certain Rows / Columns for Input
Select a Cell for Input
Size Rows / Column's
Save / Save As
Close File
Open New File
Open an Existing File
Delete a File
Print Spreadsheet

One good command to dig up if you find it would be how to switch to different sheets in a spreadsheet. I saw someone looking for that information in the past if I recall.

Hello,

Found this while roaming around looking for DDE Info. This is a Help File for DDE Commands that follow closely to the Procomm Format. Also on the Procomm 4.8 CD there is a DDE Folder that has an Example Script. I find that the Script Doesn't Really work But it has some good stuff in it.

This should get you going until I get the Examples Ready.

hi all! the DDE commands are actally macro 4.0 commands which are in the XLMACR8.HLP file. You can download the complete helpfile from

just put the commands in the square brackets in the DDEExacute command one after another
