DDE links in V5.7

Having successfully opened a DDE link to EXCEL (Office 97 version) with x.initiate("EXCEL","barcs22a.xls&quot, can anyone tell me why x.peek("a3&quot and x.poke("a3","xyz&quot do not work - nor with any other cell reference. The link is definately established as x.execute(......) works.

The problem withyour code for x.poke is the reference to the cell in excel. The reference should be "R1C1" for Row 1 Cell 1 rather than "A1". If you need additional info or sample code let me know.
