Hi All

I have a quick question, does the process of running DCPROMO automatically remove a DC from a Windows 2000 environment, or are they other steps that need to be taken to remove the DC cleanly from the environment.

DCPROMO will remove a DC from a domain and demote it to a member server.

How do I remove it from the AD environment after it has become a Member server.

When you run DCPromo it removes the things it needs to from AD.

...and once it is a member server, you can remove it from the network and delete the computer account in active directory.
