Could not find anyting on technet. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I've seen these DCOM errors in our environment, they are usually related to users who are trying Terminal services connections to a server. These users usually have workstations with either incorrect terminal services configurations or do not have the proper rights to the server they are trying to access.

Habman,

Thanks for your response. We don't have terminal services in our environment.

This error by the way caused our server to reboot for no reason. So, it is perplexing. Hopefully its just one occurrence and doesn't happen again.

I should have elaborated more, sorry. As I said, in our environment they are related to Terminal services, but DCOM errors can be prompted by any application that a user is trying to access on a server yet doesn't have proper rights for.

If there is an ID in the error you may want to do a registry search to identify which application a user is trying access. If I recall, we've also seen this when some is trying access IIS and the service is not started.

Hope this helps.
