Hi Everyone,

We have a phantom DN that is set to DCFW to an external number. Most of the time this seems to work fine but sometimes forwarded calls will route to the attendant instead. I'm not sure if it's a recall or going directly to the attendant.
Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Is it possible all the trunks are busy when it routes to the Attendant?

It is possible but unlikely. And in that case I would rather the caller just receive busy or ring-no-answer. In any event we would rather these calls not route back to the attendant. Essentially we just want the calls handed off to the external system and let that system deal with any issues.

Thanks for the reply.

Doesn't make sense that some times it works and some times it doesn't. That would make me think an all trunks busy condition

I agree that for some reason the Nortel is thinking that it can't hand off the call (busy or out-of-service condition) but it still seems that the caller should just get the busy instead of recalling to the attendant. I'm sure it's mostly my poor understanding of how such a call would be handled by the system.

Most of the configurations that I know of have

FNAD FDN
FNAT FDN
FNAL FDN

Either way, it does seem strange.
