How can I take a bunch of DBX files and convert them to CSV files? Then how do I consolidate the CSV files into 1 database that I can import into a bulk mail program?

Do you mean dbx (the message files) or WAB (the address book)? If you mean wab then just choose File > Export > Address Book in Outlook Express (5.5). They can then be manipulated easily in Excel.

If you're talking about files from another program, then please let us know which program.

To PaulWood,
Thanks for the quick reply! I'm impressed with this site.
I guess I need to regroup on this question. I Created a bunch of folders in OLExpress to save replies from previous messages. I have been able to convert these to eml type format but I need to get them into csv format and combine them into one file. (Each eml is 1 message). Or I need a way to clear out my WAB after I export it and then import the email addresses from the subfolder messages into the WAB so I can export them. Whew!

I don't know a great deal about the eml format, but isn't it just a text file in the end. Have you tried importing into notepad? If this is true, then you can import into Excel, clean it up save it as a csv file and import it into OE. In case it helps, I came across this link that describes eml files
I know it sounds tedious, but it may be better than etyping them all. Alternatively how are your macro writing skills :)

Thanks for the kind words, we do our best!

Thanks.
I think I found an easier(but still tedious) way to do it.
I can open the folders up in OEXpress Then rt click email address and save to address book; then export address book to word and save as text file.Whew! It's still a lot of work but seems to do OK. Then I go back and delete all from adbk. and load the next folder, etc.
