After ran DBUPDATE utility in Epicor 7.2 to create a new company, I am now not able to apply cashing and print checks in an existing company. Below is the error message.

Database Error 207: invalid column name 'customer_code'

Does anyone know how to fix this? I've contacted Epicor tech support and apparently they don't know anything.

TIA

For what reason did you run the dbupdate utility? Did you upgrade from a prior version, did you apply a service pack? Did you add an additional company under the control? Did you install additional modules in a an existing company? For whatever reason you ran the dbupated - you need to take a look at your dbupdate.out file. This file is produced whenever dbupate is run for any reason. There could be some errors on there. The error you are receiving seems to point out that somehow table structure or a stored procedure changed. If you'd like - I can take a look at your dbupdate.out file for you if you are unfamiliar with it. I used to work for the installion team in technical support for Epicor for many years. My current employers uses 7.2 SP3 here so I am quite familiar with table structure. Do you have the problem only in one particular company database? How many company databases you have under this control?

Thank you for responding! There are no error messages in the dbupdate.out file. After ran the diagnostic utility, caputured some queries and anlyzed them, I figured out what has gone wrong. I was able to fix it using an old copy of PCCONTROL database. Basically the dbupdte utility updated some tables in the control database while it was creating a new company. It effectively replaced the query statements that stored in these tables and we got the error.
