Does the phone system need to be rebooted after installing one of these babies!? Its lighting up but 8 buttons are flashing on the module and it sounds like a relay is activating

I was, didn't i try to help you out?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Indeed the forum is for professionals who at least have a basic understanding, it is not intended to be a replacement for a support contract.

with regards to your problem with the button module:-

1) do you have an external PSU connected to the phone (1 DBM should be fine but any more need a PSU)
2) are IP500 OR IP500v2, if V2 then the file server type should be set to memory card.
3) recreate the memory card to ensure all the correct firmware has been copied to it.
4) call you maintainer (I do not like the sound of the clicking, that is something I have never heard)

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

IPGuru, i have heard the clicking, it is normal.
It is a DBM32 so digital thus the power brick should be there anyway.

Yes I bought the power brick and I have it connected using the proper cabling

Its an IP500v2. I have 4 IP phones that performed their updates and I have them working correctly. Do they update the same way as the DBM32 would through the 1416 digital set?
3) recreate the memory card to ensure all the correct firmware has been copied to it.
I will try this for sure.
4) call you maintainer (I do not like the sound of the clicking, that is something I have never heard)
I have a call into my maintainer and I'm awaiting a response.

Thank you for your time to respond.

You need to be sure that there is a .hex file on the SD card.
8.1.67 has this one GBM32_B_1_1_0.hex
I am not sure if your version should have the same one.

I do not have any dbm expansion modules installed in the system.

I'll check to see if this file is on the card. Thanks guys!

Then you really need to hire somebody to see if the firmware is downloaded by the phone or not.
Maybe the module or the cable to the module is broken or even the port on the phone itself.
Too hard to tell what to do or how to check this.

Chaise your maintainer - how long has it been now?

Who did you purchase the module through? They should be assisting you with getting this operational.

One of the power supplies that was shipped to us was bad... Grrrrrrrrr!!! thanks for all your help!!!!
