Hi,

I am trying to update all office's IP phones to the newest firmware available so I have created the necessary folders in my software server (one per subnet) It works like a charm. BUT there are some IP phones that cannot connect to the sofware server. Here you are the logs:

The most strange thing is that one of the IP phones has downloaded the config file today without a problem (checked in webserver access log). But if I remotely restart the IP phone it gives the same error in the IP phones's logs (see above).

The IP phones work ok: they can login to the GK, make phone calls, etc

Any idea?

Best regards

The subnet mask of 255.255.255.128 does not look right for a subnet address of 172.21.254.0

The phone models are all the same type?
The phones are all the same version?
Example: "dbc 422 02" or "dbc 422 01" etc etc

\Satellite1900

All phones are the same model ASTRA Model: DBC422 02

The most bizarre thing about this is that there are attempts to connect to the webserver (software server) from few of them:

172.21.254.11 - - [23/May/2012:09:52:14 +0200] "GET /172.21.254.0-25/dbc42x02/d42x02-config.txt HTTP/1.0" 200 13754 "-" "-"
172.21.254.17 - - [23/May/2012:16:36:42 +0200] "GET /172.21.254.0-25/dbc42x02/d42x02-config.txt HTTP/1.0" 404 345 "-" "-"

And there are very old (from March) attemps to connect to the web server from the others Phones:

172.21.254.14 - - [17/Mar/2012:15:22:26 +0100] "GET /dbc42x02/d42x02-config.txt HTTP/1.0" 200 13754 "-" "-"
172.21.254.15 - - [04/Mar/2012:12:14:18 +0100] "GET /172.21.254.0-25/dbc42x02/d42x02-config.txt HTTP/1.0" 404 345 "-" "-"
172.21.254.15 - - [04/Mar/2012:12:14:18 +0100] "GET /dbc42x02/d42x02-config.txt HTTP/1.0" 200 13822 "-" "-"

I cannot see any difference in the configuration all have fixed IP addresses, software server set manually, etc

Thank for your reply.

Best regards

have you tried to connect a phone that does not work directly to your laptop, where is another webserver?

\Satellite1900

Hi Satellite1900,

Yes, I have tried with another test webserver. And I cannot see any connection attempt in any of the webservers (prod or test). So I Think is a local problem with the IP phone

What You See Is What You Get
Never underestimate tha powah of tha google!

Hi!

I got the same prob here with a customer and i changed that phones on warranty with Aastra and the note, that these phones were not able to get they´re language file. Same failure like yours with "Not connected; errno 0x44" (But i got that on language files)!!

Thats a fault in the Phone! Tried different FW/BootROM etc p.p. no success!
Done the same with a differen phone (Same Model) and same config file + firmware no Problem!!!

Also DBC4422 02!
