Is the PC-port on the telephone a switch or a Hub? Is there enyone who knows? I hava a problem with VLAN tagging for version 1 and version 2 phone, depend on IPLU or MX-one versjon 2 sp2.
Is there anyone who have trying VLAN tagging and option 43 i the DHCP-server,eks tag 1 for the app.server and config file, and tag 5 for Voice VLAN.
The network equipment is from Cisco!!

VLAN tagging is working here.

typical setup: PC VLAN = VLAN 1 (default VLAN), untagged
VOICE VLAN : VLAN 2, tagged

be sure that L2QOS section in config is setup:

[L2QOS]
MIIPort=6,2 ;prio (0-7) ,VID(1-4095)
PCPort=0,1 ;prio (0-7) ,VID(1-4095)
LANPort=1,0 ;MAC based VLAN/802.1Q based VLAN , untagged/tagged PC originating traffic

Thank you, i shall try this settings.

But we ar useing QnQ at the WAN-link connection and the settings i have used is ok at the internel LAN?
The MX-one version 2, and the last SW at the terminal R3C is ok, i got the VLAN for Voice, and i got the VLAN for PC.
The same setting is not ok at the branch location behind the WAN-link.
I i got the same setting at the switch as the internel, the termial is stopping when it is tryig to connect to the DHCP server? and at the timeout i got ERROR DHCP/Network problems.

We are using the same GK / MX-one for all the IP-terminals

We are using externel frim for leverance of the WAN connection and tehy are using QnQ- is there any chance that the problem are here?

if you are using DHCP, make sure option 43 is setup correctly. you must set tags 5 to 7 to the voice VLAN number, otherwise phone will not boot up in the correct VLAN. what is QnQ??

DHCP 43, Vendor Specific information field:

From ALEX it shows the basic set up of the DHCP Server for Type 43, but it does not show the detail of the VLAN etc, Does anyone have any specific information that they can paste into this message board, with a description of what each part does.

Or Can someone answer, does the VLAN information just follow on from the Basic configuration

(This example shows that the length of the vendor specific information is #11 and the string is Ericsson IP-Phone. The next byte 01 is the tag for the SW server's IP address. #0D is the length and then follows the IP address (136.225.43.77)

Tank you all for helping mee, i have solved the problems.

alchohaz - yes it's the same format. Take for example VLAN 55 is your Voice VLAN, you would add the following to your DHCP Option 43:

05 02 35 35

You can provide a list of up to three Voice VLAN's as well (if for example you have a single data VLAN but multiple Voice VLANs). These are Tag's 06 and 07.
