Will dbase5 for Dos operate properly in Windows 2000?

can u tell us how it does..and what r the steps to follow or where i get the information?

Just install it & run It I am doing it at my office. Although I don't use any bells and whistles any more it works just fine. I gave up on DB5 as a development platform because the first program I compliled came out at 2 meg big (about 10 years ago before cd's) and clipper compiled to 350K. That ment I could fit compiled clipper onto a single floppy. This is not to put down dbase 5 it is still useful to have a piece of software that handles xbase files very well at an interpreted level and in win2k. Borland made and excellent product back then and still makes great products today. Clipper for dos on 2k I haven't tried.

Just remember that older Dbase versions like DbaseIV in a multi user enviroment can cause errors.

Also clockspeed can give problemens.

How can I import Excell database files into dbase5?

The problem is loading up the memo fields.
