Hi,

I migrated my old applications in dbase IV, that were running OK under Windows 98 at 300 MZ, to a new machine: Windows 2000 at 2.4 Gz.

From time to time the user reports some unexpected results.

Are they related to the high speed processor ?? If yes, how can I slowdown the software ?

Best regards and thanks in advance.

Hi
Depending on exactly what "unusual results" are, you may be experiencing "opportunistic locking" issues. This can affect any DOS database application running on Windows operating systems in the NT family that act as database servers(incl. 2K & XP). If this is what your users are encountering, this link may shed some light:
Hope this helps
