You will have to tone out the DB9. It is definetly not standard out the of the TTY port. Also what type of system 11C or 51/61/81C. It does make a difference
The DB9 ports for the SDI ports use "RS232 standards" for signaling, however the pinout is not standard DB9 and requires the use of Northern's cable to get a standard pinout on a DB25. Below is the wiring pinout to get from Northern's DB9 to a standard DB25.
rtycka,
Is this the proper pinout to go directly from the SDI port 0 on an Option 11C to a PC serial port running Hyperterminal? I would like to make custom cable to perform this function instead of using a TTY terminal. I t makes it easier to scroll back through past entries without wasting print paper.
Does anybody have the cable pin out schematics for M1 Option 11 for the SDI to branch out to the (3) RS232's ? All the diagrams indicated here are for single cable. Thanks.
