DB2INSTANCE problem

Hi ,

When I install DB2 RTC version , I get this error :
"SQL1390C The environment variable DB2INSTANCE is not defined or is invalid."

Does anyone knows what this error is about ?

try these steps it might help
uninstalling the first installation
login as administrator on the machine
install db2
restart the machine
then click any option of db2 like control centre etc.

Setup your DB2INSTANCE system vaiable. The Databases are located under an Instance. Your System variable may be DB2INTANCE=DB2. (DB2 is the Default created during installation)
