Hi,

We are developing DB2 version 6.1 under VSE/ESA and I am having trouble using the formulas from the IBM Database Adminstration manual coming up with the correct index pages to allocate. We are placing one table in one dbspace. I have gone over this so many times my eyes are crossing. Does anyone have an Excel spreadsheet with the formulas so I can get in the ballpark? I am way off in my calculations. Please help!

I would be so grateful for any help or suggestions.

Thanks!

Marc,

Thanks for the link. I have seen this before and have no idea what it is. Is this C programming language?

Thanks!

Sam,
It's a number of things. 1st there is a CLIST which is a predecessor of REXX. This should go into a file or PDS which you can then EXecute from option 6 of TSO. Then follow a main panel and 6 help panels. These need to go into a library that is allocated to your TSO session through a DDNAME called ISPPLIB. Lastly there is a message which should go into a library that is allocated to your TSO session through a DDNAME called ISPMLIB.

If you've got it all in place, you should be able to run the clist which will call up the panels asking for input and then display you the answer. As I said earlier, I've not tried this out, just came across it on the net, so I don't know if it works or how good it is.

Is there anybody at your site who is knowledgeable in the ways of CLIST and ISPF dialog panels etc.?
