Above is a link to a post that I had in 2006. At that time, someone gave me the password for LD 77. None of my NTPs seem to even mention db levels. I need to confirm my current settings and to know if Nortel still does not recommend the use of amplifier boxes. Can anyone give me any current information, documentation, or a good nudge so that I can make some forward momentum? Thanks!!!

no matter where you go, there you are.

First, inform the user that there are literally thousands of people waiting for a job just like theirs.
Second, Get a Nortel approved digital Recorder with time stamp, for the users complaining. Record all calls for 8 weeks.
Third, Have the users note the date, time, and situation of each call.
Forth, Find the recorded call and off load to a portable device. Send it to the users manager.
Last, When the manager find nothing wrong, hand them their final paycheck and escort them from the building.
Please inform your legal department and HR that your PBX has a nominal rating of 60db on 99.9% of ALL calls. The only other factor is the carrier.
(I really like Buckshot's "underground vault" idea on the PBXINFO link above).

Thanks but, all joking aside, these users are hearing impaired, they wear hearing aids, and they need proper accommodation. Thanks!

Sorry for the rude post. Your hearing impaired users should be accommodated by the headset manufacture. Contact Plantronics, Seinheiser, AT&T, Garybar Electric, Anixter to compile the best information. They should let you "Try before You Buy". My impaired users use the Plantronics headsets with great success. The Seinheiser is expensive, but has a good reputation. Don't use batteries, use the optional power adapter. I hope this helps.

BTW, the hearing aid can play a important part in using a headset. Make sure you advise the manufacture.
