Since the change to daylight savings time, all my backups are running 1 hour late. I am running Legato 5.5 on a WNNT SP6 Dell 4200 with a Storage Tek 9730. The system time is correct, and I rebooted and checked that the BIOS time is correct. The system is correctly set up for Eastern Time and automatically adjusts for Daylight Savings.

When I unmount a tape, the monitor displays the message that I unmounted the tape 1 hour ago. I tried the "TZ +" statement in Environmental Variables. The log files produced all have the correct time stamp.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Found this on another forum for the same problem :-

From Legato support:

From your Time/Date properties click the Time Zone tab, uncheck the Automatically adjust for daylight savings changes box. Then adjust your time.

Does it work ?

It worked as a temporary solution.

The problem is gone now. Legato prabaly used that defective mscvrt.dll that caused all the other problems in our system last week. All the times are correct now.
