Day function in cross tab

I need to set up a cross tab which list dates by name only so that I can analyse by just the name of a day. If I format the date to just the name and export it to excel, the full date reappears. Can I write a formula in Xtal that just brings up the days name, which can then be analysed using the select expert or exported to Excel

I have used this formula to generate a cross tab which give totals per day. I now want to analyse by hour per day of the week, ie I want a breakdown of calls received per hour by day eg we have received x amount of calls on Mondays between such and such a hour. Has anyone got a formula which will do this, please?

If you use :

ToText(CurrentDateTime,"dddd HH:00")

This will give you Wednesday 09:00, for any datetime on Wednesday from 09:00 to 09:59.

You can replace currentdatetime with your datetime field.
