I need to know how to draw simple lines with corel draw essentials. I know everything there is about Adobe cs2, but where i work uses corel. I'm teaching myself hoe to use it, but can't figure out this simple task without it being too thick. I just need a line with a stroke of 1 or.5 Thanks

If you want all the lines to be the same width, then first define your default line width. Make sure nothing is selected, clicking on the pen in the main toolbar, then on the pen in the flyout and set your default line width. Now draw your line using the pencil tool -- two clicks gives you a line. If you want to force those lines to be exactly horizontal or vertical (or any multiple of 30 degress) hold the control key down while you do the second click.

If you want some of the lines to be different widths or different colours, select those lines and either go back to the pen tool or press F12.

What happened to power lines as in corel draw 4? I can't find them in corel 11. Effects-powerline roll-up? I have used this, not very often though....D.R.
