I run a report from a query every week to get the previous weks data. I change the the date ranges in the query in design view.
Is there a way of selecting a date range to run a report without having to alter the query in design view.

in query design add...

For your date field in the criteria ad below

Between [Enter Beginning Date] And [Enter Ending Date]

hope this helps.

Is there any way of changing the date ranges without having to go into design mode.
A way of putting in the date ranges prior to running the report?

You only need to modify the query ONCE. Then each time you run the report, you are prompted for the dates.

Alternatively, you could use a form to prompt for dates. See:
faq702-3619

(This would also require the query being changed ONCE).

Hi,

If your are getting the previous week's data, there is NO NEED to enter anything at all! You can CALCULATE last week's start and end dates relative to the current date.
