Date Parameter with range 1

I have a date parameter with range from - to , when I place the parameter in the report i see blank parameter.I need to show (for eaxmple (From 1/1/2007 to 12/31/2007)

If you have set up a date range parameter, of date datatype, and allowing range values, then the formula should work. So please explain the setup of the parameter and also where you created the formula.
