Date parameter - default to today?

Is it possible to set the default for a date parameter to today's date using currentdate? I can't seem to get it to work. (Crystal reports XI).

I haven't done it, but I think you could use a dynamic parameter that was based on a function that returns current date.

dynamic parameters should be covered in the XI materials.

In v8.5, all date parameters default to the current date. What is happenning with your date parameter?

In version XI mine starts off as completely blank!

That's an "Enhanced Feature" of XI.....

And let's hope that they "correct" that "feature" in the next build...

What they should have done was offer current-date-default as an option. A majority of report-writers would want it, and the rest can make their own selection.
