Hi,

I have Crystal 8.0.

How can you show a date field as DD-MON-YYYY. Example:

09-DEC-2000

1. Day needs the leading zero when 1 through 9.

2. Month needs to have the three character abbreviation in UPPERCASE.

I tried just placing the date on the report then selecting options in the "Format Editor" but it only shows the month abbreviation with mixed case (Dec).

I don't know if this matters but I will be exporting the reports as tab separated text.

Any help would be appreciated.

UpperCase (ToText (<value>,"dd-MMM-yyyy"))

Today's date is returned as 18-JUN-2004

Thank you so much RJFrost for the quick response. You saved me a lot of headaches and time. It worked great.

As a rule of thumb, ToText() is your answer for any sort of numeric or date formatting issue.
