Date Conversion

This hopefully should be a very simple one, but my mind has just gone blank!!!

I have 2 dates (input is DDMM , output is CCYY-MM-DD), just mapping one to the other produces a "one or more outputs in invalid" - due to the ##'s being inserted.

What am I doing wrong?

what's you mapping rule - are you putting anything in the CCYY part?

am just simply dragging and dropping.

The help option states that Mercator should insert the year automatically..

I think I'm going mad!!
