Datawarehousing Issues 1

Hi

I would like to get some feedback on these two datawarehousing issues:

(1) What are the political issues that arise in data warehousing and how can these issues impact be minimised?
(2) Why is it important to verify the credibility of external data?

1. These are covered quite well in two books:
Impossible Data Warehouse Situations by Adelman, and Data Warehouse Project Management by Adelman and Moss.

I would like answers from professional experience of implementing data warehousing, not textbook answers.

As someone with over 15 years experience in Data Warehousing, as company employee, contractor, and consultant, including "Big 5" experience, I stand by my responses. I have worked on over 20 data warehouse projects in all capacities, many were full life cycle.

Besides, this looks like a school assignment anyway.
