Datasource configuration- 'pinned-to-Thread'

Hi,
I am trying to understand the option provided by Weblogic for a DataSource..ie 'Pinned-to-Thread' . I read the documentation and understood the concept...

My Question is , if "pinned-to-Thread' increases the performace, as a connection is reserved for that thread, then why is this an option.

Are there any downside of Enabling this option?What should we consider before Enabling this option?

Hi

PinnedToThread would definitely improve the performance.

Its main is to workaround threading limitations when you use JDBC Type 2 XA drivers.
