I am using the Data Grid Control connecting to an Access database table using the ADODC. To select the required records I am using a SQL statement. Sometimes, this query, purposely does not return any records. When this is so I am having problems to enter data into the Data grid. The error states that it is having problem to move to another record since the previous had data changed. Is there anybody that has encountered this problem?
i am also experiencing the same problem and haven't figured out how to solve it. also while editing the datagrid, when i am done with one row, if i click the next row it gives me
a microsoft dbgrid error which says "incorrect of insufficient key column information.too many rows affected by update". But if i use the record selectors to move to the next row, there is no error and the data gets updated !!!!! I think this is a problem with the oledb grid
ndalli and deepa,

Do you both have any further update to this problem. I have exactly the same message "incorrect of insufficient key column information.too many rows affected by update".

I tried installing Microsoft Service Pack 3.0 for Visual Studio 6.0 and that didn't help.

Would appreciate your feedback if you have any updates.

That error is most of the times related to the record source statment you're using on your ADO control.

Using inner joins, selecting from various tables or even not selecting all the fields from one table sometimes lead to this.
