Ey dudes,

somebody knows if MicroStrategy can use any database for datawarehousing, like Borland's InterBase??? Because when i try to create the instance Database in MicroStrategy, it asks me the type of Database, and InterBase is not in the list.

Thanks!

Hi omarmtz,

As I’m not sure which version you’re using; MSTR v722 now has a “Generic SQL-92” DBMS object which allows MSTR to access SQL-92 compliant databases for the data warehouse (but not the metadata).

I’m assuming that you have access to the MSTR knowledge base, so have a look at the “Administrator, Intelligence Server, and Web Administrator Guide” for v722, as it contains a list of requirements (and caveats) to make best use of the “Generic SQL-92” functionality.

Hope this helps.

Scott.

Thanks... i'm using MSTR 7.2.0, cause i didn't see enough improvements in the MSTR 7.2.2 for upgrading my version. Now i have it.

scottEBI, can you make me a favor? could you send me to my e-mail the file Database.PDS of your MSTR version 7.2.2?¡?
This file is located normally in C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\MICROSTRATEGY\...

My e-mail is omarmc@yahoo.com

Thanks!!!
