My client trail balance out of balance by a huge figure.

A guy wrote a sript in sql to redinominate all their financial figures by 10,000. The trail balance at the time rported out of balance by 0.02, this was as result of a national redinomination of the Currency in the country in 2007.

Their trail balance for Jan 2008 is out of balance by 243,564.02. The only backup they have with a balance trail balance is November 2007.

Is it possible I can import all the batches for December 2007 in sql into their previous NOV 2007 database. I have to close the year again to check the balances brought foward.

Can anyone help me with the above or an alternative solution. thanks in advance

Whoever ran a SQL script like that without a backup should be fired.

Don't use any more SQL. Login to Accpac, export all the batches in question to Excel, restore from backup, and import them.

They have about 15,000 batches to date and I need to start from December to April for all the transaction. Am planning moving their data offsite and hire about 5 guys to help reload the batches into a fresh databse. Pls advice.

Advice about what? Hire women instead of guys? I don't know what you're planning.

If your GLPJD file is intact you can reconstruct your GLPOST from that.

And if you need to change the currency valuation contact Dingosoft in Australia. They've got a tool that will do that for you.
