WHY IS MY MICROSOFT OFFICE DATABASE SIZE SO LARGE? I'M ON A MAC, I'M USING OFFICE 2004, AND I REALLY DON'T HAVE THAT MANYCONTACTS OR CALANDER EVENTS

1. Don't SHOUT
2. You will need to supply far more information
3. Provide specifics - how big is "so large" ?
4. What application - Database = MS Access but 'contacts' & 'calendars' are found in MS Outlook
5. Again - provide more information - we are not mind readers

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

OK, I won't cap (shout). More info: Microsoft office 2004 for Mac. The email program inside office 2004 is Entourage. The database size (inside documents/Microsoft User Data/office identities 2004/ Main Identity) is 865 MB!!! I've used MS Office since 2000 and pulled in the old data when I've updated the program. I have some recurring events in my calander like birthdays-but not more than 50. My operating system is 10.4.6. I just deleted 1500 old emails (a lot w/ attachments) from inside Entourage and the database didn't change size. Any ideas?
