Database Search Engine

We are working on E-Commerce and to develop a catalog by searching the existing database(oracle) as per the users request(search keywords).
The database will be a vast and dynamic with a huge website traffic.
We also in a plan to design a database search engine for our own but if there is a best product we will go for that.

Kindly suggest us the best database search engine.

I am confused. Since you already have an Oracle DB, can't you use Oracle DML / PL/SQL to navigate & get items from your DB?
