Hi,

Does anyone know how i can clear all locking on my DB?
I am unable to get any info from the Database which is causing work to halt.
When i try and go to current activity to find out the blocking it times out and i cannot view.
If i try to KILL processes in isqlw it takes for ever.

Is there a T-SQL command that will clear all blocking of the DB?

PLease help urgently.

Thanks

Dylan

stop and restart the service using the NT Services manager.

Hi.
best thing to type the follwoing in QA

sp_lock

this will show you all the locks ont he database, it will then show you which lock is blocking another lock.

kill the process

for example kill spid
e.g kill 51

Thanks all but these steps i have already tried with no luck.

?????

ok it may be because you have a orphan transaction in the transaction log. do you have a trnsaction log viewer have a look and see if any transactions are still waiting to commit
