Database Initializing

Hej,

I do have a problem I've install BrightStor ARCserve v.11 at difference directory c:\CA\... not in recommended. Now my database grow too big and I wanted to initialize the astpsdat part od Database to reduce the size. But the problem is that after initializing
my Database it's not empty but still full. Is this the problem of directory ??

After initilizing astpsdat all the information will still show up except for the listing of the files and directories backed up.

yes all the information are still but it didn't reduce the size of database.Normally all information stays but the size of Database is reduce but not this time.

I have had this problem myself using Release 11 - I initialised the astpsdat database but it didn't actually do anything and the database remained the same, just as you say. I spoke to CA and they sent me a zip file of empty databases, I then stopped the database engine, copied out just the astspdat files and copied in the new empty files and restarted the database engine. This fixed my problem. Hope this helps.
