I have a working asp directory on my web server.
I simply do a copy of that directory and renaming it.
When I pull it up in my browser, asp pages require a database connection will error with the below.
I don't understand why merely copying the directory is a disruption.
**********************************************

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

/sixsigma/Report2_All_Requests_CC_Name.asp, line 128

Check the value used in the ConnectionString property of your ADO Connection object.

It is the same connection.
I am merely making a copy of a working ASP directory and renaming it.
The global.asa file is the same as are all the other files.

Perhaps there is a path in the ConnectionString that is no longer valid since the folder name changed.

Folder name changed, but there is no reference to the name of the folder. So that shouldn't matter.

If the ConnectionString is coming out of an application variable set in the global.asa ... well perhaps the global.asa is not being used if the new folder is not marked as a "web application" in IIS.
