Database Engine Stopping After Failed Backup

I'm using Arcserve 9.0. After a failed backup the database engine seems to stop. The engine has to be restarted the next day. Can someone help?

Any errors in the activity log will help me to find a solution .... DatabaseBaba...

Are you refering to the job log when you say activity log?

In the job status window goto the activity log tab there you shuold be able to find some error messages.. DatabaseBaba...
