Hi,
I will suggest the Teradata Database design manual. I offer this as a suggestion hoping this helps a little even though the latter parts are tailors towards database.
The first section is about LOGICAL Database design and this is generic.
The next section is about translating that Logical design into a Physical Database Design and again is generic.
The last section is tailored towards implementing that physical database design on Teradata.
