Database and Tape engines will not start???

I am having a problem with Arcserve IT 6.61 starting the Database and Tape engines. I am getting the follwing errors when trying to start them.

Trying to start the Tape engine I get the following error:
Error 0183: Cannot create a file when that file already exists

Trying to start the Database engine I get the following error:Error 2182 The requested service has already been started.(It is not started thought)

Any ideas???

I'm having the same problem with my Tape Engine service. It fails to start with E0183 "Cannot create file when that file already exists" and the Event ID is 7023.

power down the server and the tape device, then power up the tape device and wait until it is finished, then power up the server.
